Primary and Preventative Medical Care

Doctor Mt IdaHealthy Connections is a nonprofit organization serving the needs of children and at-risk families throughout the Western Arkansas region.

We continue to provide our community with the quality healthcare they need and to help them attain a higher standard of living, regardless of social or financial set-backs.

This is done by promoting health awareness, education, parenting skills and support through numerous state and federal programs.

In December of 2002, Healthy Connections expanded their horizon and started another project-a Federally Qualified Health Center in Mena providing many services, including medical and dental care.

In 2007, Healthy Connections received a new grant to open a satellite clinic in Mt. Ida-the Montgomery County Community Clinic. MCCC opened in December of 2007 and is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing primary and preventative medical services.

Healthy Connections is governed by a board comprised of local citizens’ representative of the demographic mix in the local community. Over 50% of the board members are clients of the center.

Healthy Connections, Inc. is a member of Community Health Centers of Arkansas in Little Rock. http://www.chc-ar.org/

Healthy Connections Clinics accept most forms of medical insurance; however, no person will be turned away for lack of insurance. Qualified families will be charged according to their total family income (please see our Discounted Medical & Dental Care page for details). Medicaid and ARKids 1st enrollment assistance is also available for anyone interested.

To speak with someone for further details, please feel free to call the Mena Clinic at 479-437-3449 or the Montgomery County Community Clinic at 870-867-4244.
