About Us
Voices for Healthy Choices is an OAPP (Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs) Adolescent Family Life prevention demonstration project, being evaluated by the U of A Fayetteville. It is a character building/abstinence program targeting 7th grade students.
The program includes curricula and supportive services aimed at motivating youth to not engage in premarital sex and risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol use. It involves strong interaction with parents for the purpose of strengthening the abstinence message.
The program places considerable emphasis on helping youth develop their assets and focus on building lifelong skills. It is designed in a positive future and their ability to take actions that will achieve that future.
